Our client is seeking a Strategic Software Sales Specialist in Richmond, VA and complete territory throughout Virginia. This position is responsible for revenue plan achievement for a defined portfolio suite including Software, Professional Services and Consulting Services. This strategic sales role requires the ability to lead complex sales cycles that involve advanced IT systems integration projects and professional services with C-Level Executives. The Strategic Software Sales Specialist role is focused on growing market share driving our client as the market leader in Business Technology Solutions.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for business growth through developing a robust, qualified pipeline of net-new and current client base opportunities
  • Must show an ability to consistently reach key decision makers (C-Level, IT etc.)
  • Foster long-term relationships with current client base through post-sale activities including but not limited to: Post project completion meetings, quarterly business reviews, strategic outbound sales calls, or meetings
  • Responsible for acquiring qualified clients that match our ideal client profile
  • Develop and manage the creation of client-facing documents, including proposals, presentations, and RFP responses
  • Must consistently communicate the value in our solutions meeting or exceeding the proposed price
  • Engage and manage approved third-party partners as appropriate during the sales cycle
  • Assist in creation and delivery of Statements of Works and coordinate appropriate project handoff to our implementation team ensuring a seamless onboarding for our clients
  • Maintain and update CRM tool with, but not limited to, all sales activity and notes, pipeline adds and revenue forecasting
  • Comply with the Client Methodology Framework, Sales and Order Management Processes
  • Must actively engage in marketing initiatives offering feedback and ideas to move the organization forward
  • Perform additional duties as assigned and communicated by management

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced sales environment
  • Ability to apply a consultative approach to all contacts with customer C-level leaders and IT groups
  • Must possess a strong desire for continued professional development
  • 2+ Years of Experience in Software or SaaS Sales (*Preferred by not required)
