12375: IT Supervisor
Our client is seeking an IT Supervisor to join their team based in Clearwater, FL, acting as a hands-on technical leader who thrives in a “player-coach” environment. We are looking for a dynamic professional to lead their technical department. In this role, you will drive team goals, ensure projects are completed on time, and mentor staff. Simultaneously, you’ll be on the front lines, delivering exceptional customer service while installing, troubleshooting, and supporting servers, document management software, network routers, and MFP fleets. Responsibilities:
- Lead & Mentor: Supervise IT personnel, actively develop staff’s technical and customer service skills, and ensure all internal and external projects meet strict deadlines.
- Manage Operations: Oversee the help desk and internal ticketing workflows, ensuring prompt response times, accurate SLA tracking, and proper reporting of all client devices on the Data Collection Agent (DCA).
- Oversee Installations: Manage the full installation lifecycle, from conducting pre-install calls and verifying network requirements to launching post-install satisfaction surveys.
- Provide Expert Support: Act as the senior escalation point for complex technical issues. Troubleshoot MFP deployments (scanning, printing, faxing) and utilize remote access tools to resolve customer network challenges.
- Drive Client Success: Liaise seamlessly between the sales and service departments to resolve issues, conduct post-install follow-ups, and provide comprehensive product training to clients.
- Innovate & Problem Solve: Continuously research new solutions, maintain deep product knowledge, and bring fresh ideas to improve departmental efficiency and automated workflows.
What You Bring:
- Proven, hands-on technical experience configuring and supporting servers, routers, and associated network peripherals.
- Strong working knowledge of printing, scanning, faxing solutions, and broader office technology.
- A natural ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team, acting as a true “player-coach.”
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into user-friendly, professional language for clients.
- High organizational skills with the ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and oversee concurrent project timelines.
- A Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- A valid, clean driver’s license and a reliable vehicle for travel to client sites throughout the Tampa Bay area.
- The flexibility to work varied schedules as needed to support business operations.
