12305: Postage Reconciliation & Analytics Specialist

Our client is seeking a Postage Reconciliation & Analytics Specialist who will ensure the financial integrity of postage activities within our cleint’s high-volume print and mail facility in Kansas City, MO. This role focuses on reconciling client accounts, analyzing spend to identify cost savings, and maintaining compliance with USPS regulations and client SLAs.

Key Responsibilities

• Reconciliation & Finance: Perform daily/monthly reconciliation of postage activity across USPS systems (EPS), meters, and vendor invoices. Investigate discrepancies and assist Finance with month-end closing and cost allocation.
• Analytics & Reporting: Generate job-level postage analytics, trend reports, and P&L dashboards. Analyze sortation levels and postage classes to identify optimization opportunities.
• Operational Support: Forecast funding needs for high-volume mail runs and manage USPS promotions/discounts.
• Process Improvement: Partner with IT to automate data feeds and streamline workflows to reduce manual reconciliation efforts.

Qualifications

• Experience: Background in print/mail production, finance, or data analytics (outsourcing environment preferred).
• Technical Skills: Advanced Excel proficiency; experience with Power BI, Tableau, or SQL is a plus.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with USPS mailing classes, presort rules, and systems like the Business Customer Gateway (BCG) or EPS.
• Detail-Oriented: Exceptional accuracy in financial reconciliation and the ability to communicate data insights to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Pitney Bowes, Quadient, or BCC Mail Manager.
• Understanding of mail piece composition and presort documentation.
