12262: Technician
Our client is seeking a Technician in the Houston, TX territory, to serve as the premier technical authority for our client’s regional service operations. This is a high-level field position designed for a diagnostic expert who can navigate the complexities of a diverse office technology portfolio. Your primary mission is to ensure peak hardware performance and exceptional client satisfaction by delivering sophisticated technical solutions and maintaining a high-performance service standards. As a senior member of the technical team, this role offers a clear pathway to potential leadership opportunities and management responsibilities for those demonstrating exceptional initiative and team guidance.
Core Responsibilities
- Advanced Diagnostics & Repair: Resolve complex technical issues on a full spectrum of office equipment with precision, ensuring maximum uptime and decreasing the need for follow-up visits.
- Technical Knowledge Sharing: Serve as a technical resource for peers by providing on-site guidance and sharing “symptom-to-solution” insights to elevate the team’s collective skill set.
- Customer Experience Excellence: Act as a professional liaison between the company and our clients, providing not just repairs, but also user training that empowers customers to get the most out of their technology.
- Strategic Asset Management: Oversee the efficient use of parts and resources, ensuring that field operations are both cost-effective and high-value for our Houston-based clients.
- Business Intelligence: Identify evolving customer needs and potential technology gaps, collaborating with sales and management to support account growth and infrastructure upgrades.
- Operational Integrity: Maintain meticulous records of service calls, parts utilization, and meter readings, ensuring all administrative data is submitted accurately and on schedule.
Candidate Profile
- Technical Mastery: Deep experience in the maintenance and repair of high-volume digital imaging systems and multi-functional office products.
- Preferred Credentials: CompTIA A+ and Network+ (Net+) certifications are highly preferred and considered a significant advantage.
- Problem-Solving Mindset: An analytical approach to troubleshooting with a commitment to “first-time-fix” results.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, professional advice for clients and peers.
