Our client is looking for a seasoned Service Manager to oversee operations in the Clearwater, FL market. This role is responsible for the overall leadership and performance of the service department, which includes managing both Field Technicians and Technician Trainees. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership and motivational skills, along with a deep understanding of industry products and services. The primary responsibilities of this role include:

  • Oversee the daily functions of Service Technicians, Dispatch, and Field Service Supervisors to ensure smooth operations and high performance.
  • Evaluate Technician performance, identify underperformance, and work closely with individuals on problematic equipment and operational efficiencies.
  • Participate in quarterly technician inventory checks and inspect vehicles for cleanliness, organization, and compliance.
  • Develop detailed action plans for Technicians and coordinate in-house training sessions based on equipment needs and technician skill gaps.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and annual salary reviews in collaboration with the appropriate Field Service Supervisor.
  • Provide coaching and counseling sessions to motivate staff and address any performance or behavioral issues.
  • Lead monthly team meetings to discuss productivity, highlight one key area for improvement, and establish measurable progress goals.
  • Handle escalated customer complaints and work toward effective resolution of service-related issues.
  • Attend management meetings and actively contribute to discussions focused on resolving challenges and enhancing service processes.
  • Serve as a resource for service-related questions from both customers and internal staff.
  • Ensure departmental compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Review service profitability, machine performance, and inventory metrics on a quarterly basis.
  • Host quarterly or semi-annual meetings with Field Service Supervisors to assess operational challenges and implement improvements.
  • Prepare and deliver reports, including performance analysis and department metrics, as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support department and company objectives.
