11734: Technician

A direct manufacturer branch location in Hickory, NC is seeking a Field Technician to cover a territory that includes Cherokee, Graham, Clay, Swain, Macon, Jackson, and Haywood Counties. The ideal candidate should be capable of working independently with a high level of self-motivation. Compensation will be based on experience, and possessing an A+ certification is highly preferred for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Primary responsibilities of this position include the installation, maintenance, and repair of a multifaceted offering of office equipment.
• This includes multifunction copy/print devices, stand-alone copy and print devices and conference room visual presentation solutions.
• All devices supported may involve network integration with the customer’s network and communicate with other devices within the customer’s operating environment.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent mandatory.
• Technical vocational schooling desirable (electronics or electro-mechanical preferred), or experience in copier repair or repair and maintenance of electronic equipment.
• Must possess or achieve Comptia A+ certification within one (1) year of hire.
• Must possess strong communication skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Must successfully complete equipment pre-testing and training.
• Knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office software products preferred.
• Valid Drivers License, and Automobile insurance within company guidelines.
