Our client is seeking a Purchaser for their company in Morris County, NJ and working knowledge of e-Automate would be ideal for this role. As a Purchasing Agent, you will be responsible for all purchasing, logistics, and inventory functions for the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares purchase orders by verifying specifications and price, obtaining recommendations from suppliers for substitute items if necessary, and obtaining approval from requisitioning department
  • Obtains purchased items by forwarding orders to suppliers, monitoring delivery status and expediting orders
  • Authorizes payment for purchases by forwarding receiving documentation
  • Monitor warehouse inventories and replenish as needed
  • Provides purchasing planning and control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends
  • Accomplishes purchasing and organization goals by completing related objectives
  • Develop professional relationships with partner vendors
  • Provide detailed monthly reports and be prepared to present to management
  • Be prepared to track purchasing goals and department objectives
  • Work seamlessly with other departments to ensure all procurement and inventory issues are addressed
