12337: Controller

Our client is seeking a Controller to join their team in Alpharetta, GA, to serve as the primary financial leader and strategist for their established office technology dealership. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of a financial department that is currently supported by an external accounting firm, giving you the autonomy to determine which processes, such as AP and month-end close, should be transitioned back in-house and what additional staff may be required to support your vision.

The Opportunity

You will step into a stable environment that has utilized e-Automate for over a decade and integrates with Salesforce CRM. While an external firm currently handles month-end closing, you will eventually oversee the full cycle of internal financial operations. You will be the “go-to” for the leadership team on all finance-related inquiries, working alongside a streamlined operations department and automated sales configurator tools.

Primary Responsibilities

• Financial Oversight: Manage inventory, cash management, meter billings, and accounts payable.
• Strategic Planning: Lead all forecasting efforts and cash flow management to support dealership growth.
• Process Architecture: Evaluate current third-party accounting workflows and lead the transition of month-end close and payroll functions back in-house.
• Department Leadership: Determine future staffing needs and hire/manage support personnel as the internal department expands.
• Reporting: Prepare accurate financial statements and provide actionable insights to ownership.

Qualifications

• Industry Expertise: Direct experience within the office technology, copier, or managed services industry is required.
• Software Proficiency: Strong familiarity with e-Automate is highly preferred; however, we will consider experienced candidates from an OEM background with a proven track record in financial leadership.
• Financial Acumen: Proven experience in forecasting, month-end closing, and managing complex billing cycles (meter-based billing).
• Leadership Mindset: Ability to operate independently and the desire to build and scale an internal accounting department.
