Our client is seeking a Director of Sales Enablement to join their team in Middlesex County, MA. As a member of the Sales team, the Director of Sales Enablement works as a program manager, defining strategy, planning and engages with Sales and Marketing to create efficiencies that increase the productivity and effectiveness of both organizations. The Director of Sales Enablement will work proactively with senior management to identify business challenges, prioritize these challenges, define the scope and approach for the solution and execute those activities. You will be responsible for leading and driving the execution and continuous improvement of the “Sales Program”. This position reports directly to the VP of Sales. This position will have the option to work remote, so candidates can reside throughout the New England market.

Duties

  • Manage the design of enablement programs in line with the strategy provided by the VP of Sales.
  • Develop and implement training programs and curriculum for the sales organization that increase salesforce productivity and performance.
  • Work with Leadership to establish Sales and Marketing enablement priorities and project plans.
  • Ensure all new Sales team members are enabled and prepared to hit quota by owning onboarding and ongoing training.
  • Facilitate and lead working sessions and ongoing project governance meetings.
  • Communicate new tools and features through the sales channel by creating engaging content, presenting, networking, and training sales representatives.
  • Engage cross-functional leaders to ensure business impact is understood and realized.
  • Align Sales Enablement initiatives with business strategies
  • Create new and innovative features using internal feedback and customer data to initiate sales actions and optimize sales processes
  • Continuously evaluate training programs, identify gaps, and implement solutions
  • Lead the development of systems and tool training curriculum to onboard New Hires as well as resource materials to be used at all levels of the Sales organization.
  • Drive technology roadmap feature definitions and priorities for CRM.
  • Clearly communicate progress on enablement projects to key stakeholders and set clear expectations for the anticipated use and impact of deliverables.
  • Design and deliver assessment & certification programs.
  • Develop and implement measures to impact the ramp time and quota attainment of our Sales team.
  • Ownership of the ideation, creation, execution and training for the systems and tools that enable internal customers to be successful in their role.
  • Drive ongoing reinforcement and training to support the Day in the Life of all existing Sales roles.

What You’ll Need to be Successful

  • 5 years + experience designing, developing and delivering enablement or training programs and content (including sales methodologies).
  • Experience with Sales and Marketing domain areas strongly preferred (e.g. Sales Operations, Sales, Sales Training, CRM, Sales Portals).
  • Knowledge of quota carrying roles and ability to understand the challenges that the sales team encounters daily.
  • In-depth understanding of the sales process and cycle for technical solutions.
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor and train a growing sales team.
  • Strong systems skills including Microsoft Office, Sales Enablement/Readiness tools and CRM platforms (Specifically HubSpot).
  • Interprets business issues and recommends best practices and innovative solutions.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize multiple deliverables and responsibilities, while delivering projects on time.
  • Prior experience or involvement in tools, systems, and process training and/or new hire onboarding.
  • Must be a team player and open to accepting feedback to ensure the team’s success.
  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships with internal business units.
  • Demonstrated participation in process improvement initiatives and/or project management experience.
  • Tech-savvy individual who can adapt to rapidly changing tools and technologies.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA preferred.
  • Experience working within a high-growth Business Hardware, Technology or Service-Based Business preferred.
