Our client is seeking a Payroll and Human Resourses Professional for their organziation in the Albuquerque marketplace.

Roles and Responsibilities

Human Resources

  • Planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations, including addressing any employee issues, harassment, disputes, etc.
  • Ensure legal compliance of human resource policies with state and federal requirements
  • Update and monitor COBRA notifications. Coordinate with COBRA representatives
  • Continuous evaluation of Employee Handbook, including responsibility to update at least once per year
  • Identify and implement HR software system to monitory activity
  • Establish and coordinate recruiting effort, including posting of jobs (internal and external), liaison with third party recruiting firms, establishing a formal interview process, etc.
  • Establish and implement formal training programs and coordinate orientation schedules
  • Establish and monitor pay scales
  • Train managers to coach and discipline employees. Establish formal disciplinary procedures
  • Maintain proper employee files
  • Address Unemployment claims
  • Process worker’s Compensation claims
  • Coordinate annual Opn Enrollment for Health Insurance, including AFLAC
  • Document all Company job descriptions, including continuous updating
  • Coordinate exit interviews with departing employees

Payroll

  • Check timesheets for accuracy in isolved
  • Ensure all employee information is updated as needed, such as salary change, position change, benefits changes
  • Onboard new employees, including ensuring all information is in isolved to process payroll, verify I-9s promptly, obtain copy of DL and personal insurance, provide new employee with benefits info
  • Offboard departing employees, including removing from insurance, terminating in isolved, pay accrued PTO; contact COBRA
  • Process and monitor miscellaneous payroll items, including payroll advances, misc. reimbursements, garnishments
  • Maintain driver’s license info and update insurance carrier periodically
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee payroll queries promptly
  • Payroll journal entries
