We are seeking a highly efficient Field Service Technician who brings current OEM certifications and a laser focus on customer satisfaction to every task for the Utqiagvik, AK (Barrow) and surrounding market. This field position demands a self-starter and meticulously detail-oriented professional capable of providing hands-on, expert field service with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will possess current OEM certifications and demonstrate a proven ability to manage service responsibilities with exceptional efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of customer satisfaction. Field Service Technician Duties

  • Execute Expert Repairs: Conduct comprehensive, high-quality repairs on specialized multi-function equipment, focusing on diagnosing root causes to significantly reduce repeat service calls and minimize customer downtime.
  • Precision Handling: Demonstrate excellent manual dexterity and the ability to manipulate and assemble very small components during detailed technical repairs.
  • Performance Metrics: Consistently achieve or surpass established performance metrics for service ticket response (acknowledgement time) and issue resolution timeframes.
  • Client Engagement: Cultivate and sustain positive, professional relationships with end-users, acting as a direct service liaison to foster high customer satisfaction.
  • Documentation Integrity: Accurately log all service activity in the ticketing system promptly, ensuring detailed, clear, and professional documentation of all actions taken and parts used.
  • Preventative Maintenance (PM): Develop and execute a proactive PM schedule, performing routine maintenance on devices based on fleet health data or recurring issues.
  • Inventory & Logistics: Maintain an organized and optimized parts inventory for your assigned service area, collaborating with the Parts Manager to ensure adequate stock without accumulating excess or obsolete components.
  • Team Support: Act as a subject matter expert and provide internal technical guidance and training to support fellow service team members with complex triage and networking issues.
  • Training & Flexibility: Instruct end-users on device functionality as necessary and remain flexible and willing to support broader team needs and coverage.

Essential Requirements

  • Prior experience in the maintenance and repair of multi-function printing (MFP) technologies is strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to interact professionally in a customer-facing role.
  • Must be comfortable and effective working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated natural mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and repairing complex machine systems.
  • Basic working knowledge of print drivers and network connectivity concepts is mandatory.
