11854: Installation Technician

Our client is seeking an industry-experienced Installation Technician to work with accounts throughout Detroit, MI and the greater market. Ideal candidate will have a combination of software, IT/Network knowledge, as well as experience working with the hardware. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.

Set-up and Staging of Equipment

• Ensure that products are unboxed and grouped according to order requirements.
• Follow OEM best practices as it relates to installation of accessories i.e. finishers, paper feeding units, and any other peripherals order required in accordance with the customer’s request.
• Configuration of Scan to folder, Scan to Email, or any application specifics required by customer.
• Ensure that the device recognizes all installed accessories and is reporting configuration correctly prior to delivery.
• Devices are tested and are free of defect as it relates to print quality and/or paper feed.
• Ensure firmware is up to date with the latest revision available.
• All service calls associated with the setup of the equipment are coded correctly within Mobile-Tech and are closed out as close to real time as possible.
• Ensure that any supporting documentation is filled out for implementations with associated Equipment ID information, network information and implementations is updated on project status.
• Use of the hi-low to move larger pallets of equipment around warehouse when required.

Support

• Assist in delivery and removal of new equipment to customer sites when required.
• Follow all safety processes when equipment is secured inside delivery vehicle i.e. proper tie downs, delivery blankets, and foam blocks to prevent movement damage during transportation.
• Follow proper operation of lift-gate procedures and unloading / loading procedures of the customer’s site.
• Ability to operate a stair-climber to bring devices into a customer location when required.
• Follow proper process and procedures as it relates to working with a customers dock or receiving area.
