11744: On-Site and Field Technician

Our client is currently seeking an On-Site and Field Technician to serve the Toledo, OH area and the surrounding market. This role requires prior industry experience and strong networking capabilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting technical systems or equipment in the field, while providing top-tier service and support to clients. The technician will work independently, travel throughout the designated territory, and serve as a key liaison between the company and its customers. Strong problem-solving skills, a solid understanding of networking, and excellent communication are essential for success in this position. A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required. Compensation will be based on experience. A company vehicle will be provided, along with monthly bonus opportunities and a full benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, and 401(k) coverage and profit sharing.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Communicates daily activities between:

• Sales Assistants regarding scheduling of new installations
• Call Coordinators regarding service call activity and completion
• Parts personnel for the procuring and status of repair parts
• Management to ensure that all possible resources have been made available for the effective installation and support of equipment
• Other service technicians to identify effectiveness of corrective actions in the field
• Customer’s IT staff in regards to installation needs
• Customers ensuring that installation and support measures have appropriately satisfied customers concerns in a timely and professional manner
• Sales personnel about equipment functionality, customer concerns, and potential leads
• Responsible for the following training tasks:
• Trains customers and users in the operation and functionality of newly installed office equipment as needed or required
• Provides technical assistance to less experienced technicians
• Utilizes self-paced, group, and conventional classroom training programs to maintain technical skills as mandated by industry standards
