Our client is seeking a Managed IT Sales Engineer for the Pittsburgh, PA and greater market. As a Managed IT Sales Engineer you will play a pivotal role in the success of our sales initiatives by blending technical expertise with strong sales acumen. Your primary responsibility will be to comprehend client needs, craft tailored MSP solutions, and articulate the value proposition to prospects. This role requires a deep understanding of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and managed services, combined with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Client Engagement: Cultivate and nurture relationships with key clients, understanding their business goals and IT challenges.
- Conduct client needs assessments to identify opportunities for MSP solutions.
- Solution Design: Collaborate with the technical team to design customized Managed IT Service solutions aligned with client requirements.
- Develop comprehensive proposals and presentations to effectively communicate the technical aspects and business benefits of the proposed solutions.
- Sales Support: Provide pre-sales technical support, addressing client inquiries and offering expert guidance during the sales process.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies positioning our MSP services competitively.
- Product Knowledge: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitors’ offerings to ensure a deep understanding of our MSP services.
- Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions for clients and internal teams.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client interactions, solution designs, and technical specifications.
- Generate regular reports on sales activities, opportunities, and successes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in IT sales, with a focus on Managed IT Services.
- Strong technical background in IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and cloud technologies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in MSP.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Results-oriented with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
