Minneapolis, MN, August 1, 2012 – Copier Careers®, a Minneapolis based niche recruiting firm serving the Document Imaging Industry for over 25 years, just published their annual Service Manager Salary Survey. This year’s survey garnered response from 1,707 Service Managers across the United States.
A few key findings from the survey:
- Total compensation for service managers has risen to $78,428, an increase of $1,191 since 2011.
- For service managers struggling to modernize their departments, training and education are only part of the equation. Sometimes convincing older technicians to change their attitudes is the most difficult part of the job.
- Although most service managers would prefer to hire experienced employees, they’re finding that demand is far outstripping supply. This shortage of MPS-ready technicians is forcing service managers to recruit from outside the industry and invest heavily in training.
